It’s official now, as it has been proclaimed from on high. We are now the United States of Omerica.

The following is excerpted from a hilarious posting by the Times of London:

“And it came to pass, in the eighth year of the reign of the evil Bush the Younger (The Ignorant), when the whole land from the Arabian desert to the shores of the Great Lakes had been laid barren, that a Child appeared in the wilderness.

The Child was blessed in looks and intellect. Scion of a simple family, offspring of a miraculous union, grandson of a typical white person and an African peasant. And yea, as he grew, the Child walked in the path of righteousness, with only the occasional detour into the odd weed and a little blow.

When he was twelve years old, they found him in the temple in the City of Chicago, arguing the finer points of community organization with the Prophet Jeremiah and the Elders. And the Elders were astonished at what they heard and said among themselves: “Verily, who is this Child that he opens our hearts and minds to the audacity of hope?”…

It ends with this paragraph as BO meets with the male leaders of Britain:

“…And suddenly, with the men appeared the archangel Gabriel and the whole host of the heavenly choir, ranks of cherubim and seraphim, all praising God and singing: “Yes, We Can.”

Sure, it’s a spoof but it has an eery tone of warning [SOS!], suggesting that if we looked beyond the hype of the BO campaign and the infatuation of the media we would see the snake oil salesman made famous in countless Westerns. With the oratorical, persuasive talents these guys had, they could sell ice boxes to Eskimos.

We can all imagine the image of the covered wagon with a banner touting “Dr. Whoever’s Magical Elixir that will cure everything from snake bite to warts; broken bones to the itch.”

The Doctor was a whiz bang orator; words flowed convincingly and powerfully from his tongue. Crowds gathered around his wagon to hear him spout the benefits of his magic potion. He had a cure for ever ill and nary a record backing up or proving that his cures would work

Dr. Whoever’s fraud was only unmasked when someone caught him filling his bottles from a spring and adding a ground-up plant residue for color. Then all his claims of omnipotence were hooted at by the citizens he had defrauded.

Poor old Dr. Whoever didn’t have a complicit team of enablers in a global media and the backing of a corporate entity dedicated to the advancement of fraud to drown out the truth. It was devoid of what BO has today - an utterly dedicated, misogynistic O’DNC blindly backing him just to prevent a woman from becoming president.

Hillary was loudly castigated when she presented the truth about BO. She said that both she and McCain had a record of accomplishments and BO had a speech he delivered a few years ago. So far there has been nothing brought forward that counters that truth and sexism flourishes in Omerica.

And it’s not only Democrats. Republicans also swing to the sexism beat. Just check out the examples of sexism in this man’s short response to a Massachusetts bill, introduced by a woman, to “ensure [that] laws written from now on contain gender neutral phrases such as ‘he/she’ and ‘his/her’".

“I think it’s (expletive),” said Rep. Robert Hargraves (R-Groton) of the law. “Everybody knows the word ‘he’ is generic. It’s generic in the Bible. It’s generic in the Constitution. There’s no intent to demean the fairer sex.”

Gee, does that mean he and others like him see women as the slaves they were in Biblical times and when the Constitution was written. Like, for example, not able to own property, hold office, vote??? And OMG! Certainly not become president of the United States of Omerica!

BAA BAA BLAH

Today's Democrats are yesterday's Republicans: might makes right backed by money. The former staunch advocates of democracy in Liberal Talk always claimed that Democrats allowed free speech and allowed differences of opinion. Now Thom Hartman, who often said movements came not from the leaders but from the people, refuses to even hear anyone who is not full of the BO kool-aid. And of course, he avoids any mention of The Denver Group or PUMA, unless it is to derogate them.

It isn’t just that they consider us “poor little sheep who have gone astray” that “will get over it” and come to genuflect at the feet of their holy one. Oh, no, it goes deeper than that. We are being removed from more and more so-called Democratic Blogs and Lists because any OPINION adverse to BO is forbidden.

As you may have noted the BO campaign and supporters accuse any group, person or article that is critical of him with racism. Freedom of speech in America is on the way out. Magazine covers and articles that portray Hillary Clinton in hideously mutilated and sexist ways were and are just fine; but BO is not to be treated as anything less than a divinity.

Nonetheless millions are speaking out against the Democratic leadership that purged the Party’s laws and values to assure BO of the nomination and freeze out Hillary and her 18 million from the nomination process. There are still Democratic/Liberal Lists and Blogs that allow discussion and differences to be expressed.

Dem Superdelegates Rule After All

“There was a time months ago -- when Hillary Rodham Clinton led the Democratic nomination race -- that party superdelegates were the bad guys according to the rhetoric coming out of Barack Obama's camp.
Obama supporters trashed the unelected, automatic and unpledged delegates as undemocratic autocrats when it looked as though they might put Clinton over the top. Not anymore.
With the dust settled on the primary season, one thing is clear: Obama is the presumed nominee thanks only to superdelegates. He never did win enough pledged delegates to reach the winning number, falling about 350 votes short. His expected victory stems from beating Clinton among superdelegates 463-257, according to a tally on Real Clear Politics.
All the more reason for Obama to make sure that there is no roll call including Clinton's name on the ballot at the national convention -- which a few die-hard fans of the former First Lady are still clamoring for.
Why highlight just how close the Democratic contest really was? And there is certainly no gain for Obama in dwelling on how he had to depend on super delegates to win the nomination.” Crawford writes for CQPolitics

“Even before the primary had ended, feminists/womanists (hereafter FWs) who had become disenchanted with Senator Barack Obama as a result of worrying rhetoric on reproductive rights, his and his campaign's use of sexist dog whistles, and/or his silence in response to an appalling onslaught of misogyny unleashed upon his opponent, were being bullied at any indication (real or imagined) that they would not vote for him. The usual cudgels were brought out to browbeat them -- Roe (to which I'll return later) and the ominous accusation that if McCain won, it would be their fault. As ever, it was the people calling out sexism and/or anti-FW policies who were charged with creating division among progressives, as opposed to the people engaging in sexism and their defenders.

And so the drumbeat to cast FWs with legitimate complaints as the root of progressive discordance has only intensified.

A COOKIE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN

The recent kafuffle over The Rev. Jesse’s “hot mic” revelations referring to BO’s nuts, caused us to recall the yesteryears when Blacks criticized other blacks by calling them Oreos [black on the outside, white on the inside].

The definition now may be of a different cookie altogether as black, white and colors in between Obmacons begin to look askance at the man they thought was the second coming; the man who promised, “change we can believe in”.

With most of the media and blogisphere going along, they toiled in his vineyards and harassed anyone who dared to say they were for Edwards or Clinton or any of the others. Despite the huge support for Hillary, the DNC illegally finagled MI and FL into a delegate plurality for BO.

Backed up by the DNC and MSM, BO believes he is the anointed one; he struts arrogantly around and has undergone a color change of another sort. He appears to have become a Republican and this has caused some serious seismic activity among many of his former worshippers.

His recent votes and declarations have been an about face from what he told his adoring masses who are torn between tears and anger at his betrayal of their trust. His vote to support Bush on FISA may well be the electoral straw that broke this donkey’s back.

This sudden transformation has revealed the same old creamy-filling-politics inside that he kept hidden beneath his cookie shell of rhetorical balderdash and repetition used to inflame and hoodwink the masses.

The fun in all this, for those of us who knew what BO was from the git-go, is not the discomfort of his young, trendy and newly jilted pundit-lovers. It’s hearing the media scramble trying to explain away his betrayal of principal.

Kudos to the few journalists that are calling it what it is - political pandering for power. Proof positive that he is just another political hack – not the unsullied purveyor of hope that he pretended to be.

The Pretender Cookie [“we are the change we have been looking for”] that was so sweet in the mouth for many now has them reaching for the Tums as their stomachs revolt against his perfidy.

As BO and the DNC work to extinguish the light Hillary has brought to the current presidential race, we are reminded of another woman’s light that was allowed to slip away while the world heaped its praises on a decidedly lesser light.

A LADY NAMED IRENA
There recently was a death of a 98 year old lady named Irena.

During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw Ghetto, as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist..

She had an ulterior motive...

She KNEW what the Nazi's plans were for the Jews, (being German).

Irena smuggled infants out in the bottom of her tool box she carried, and she carried in the back of her truck a Burlap sack, (for larger kids).

She also had a dog in the back, that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in, and out of the ghetto.

The soldiers of course wanted nothing to do with the dog, and the barking covered the kids/infants noises.

During her time and course of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants.

She was caught, and the Nazi's broke both her legs, and arms, and beat her severely, but she survived.

She kept a record of the names of all the kids she smuggled out, and kept them in a glass jar, buried under a tree in her back yard.

After the war, she tried to locate any parents who may have survived it, and reunited the family.

Most of course had been gassed.

Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes, or adopted.

Last year Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize.....

She LOST.

BLAZING STRADDLES

In the space of only a few days, a 12 year-old Vermont girl was reported missing, frantically searched for and finally found dead. Internet’s, My Space, was implicated; a sex ring preying on young girls was suggested and the girl’s uncle was revealed as a serial sex offender and charged with kidnapping. The investigation continues.

Lots of sadness and tears; lots of hand wringing and questioning of the judicial system as the investigation continues but really nothing new, no insight. No one speaks of why we train our girls to be victims; needing and wanting the attention of a male to give them significance.

Men’s religion has played a major role in the subjugation of and crimes against women – this is still going on and is a major reason why church and state must be kept separate.

Bruce Ware — a Southern Baptist scholar – argued that one reason that men abuse their wives is because women rebel against their husband’s God-given authority: “‘And husbands on their parts, because they’re sinners, now respond to that threat to their authority either by being abusive, which is of course one of the ways men can respond when their authority is challenged - -or, more commonly, to become passive, acquiescent, and simply not asserting the leadership they ought to as men in their homes and in churches,’ Ware said from the pulpit of Denton Bible Church in Denton, Texas.”

Now the presumptive choice of the DNC and the mean street media, Zelig Obama, has announced that he will continue George Bush’s faith based initiatives – that have melded church and state together.

BO has made many promises regarding women’s rights, reproductive and otherwise but in the light of his several position changes in order to appeal to everyone, women will surely also be a casualty of his blazing straddles, outright lies and prevarications. No wonder he hasn’t clarified his core values and his beliefs, like Zelig, he has none – he just reflects whatever group he’s trying to impress.

YOU MEAN WE HAD ForeMOTHERS, TOO?
After thousands of years of existence in virtual slavery, woman began to actively demand that they be considered and treated as adult human beings at around the turn of this century.

We shall generalize these dates since any of you that want specifics can easily find them on the Internet. Except for some women's studies, you won't find this taught in schools.

Our calendar is based on marking year one as the year Jesus Christ was born. It took the advent of women's scholarship and archaeological interpretation to reveal, in our current century, that there once lived a people who worshipped both Goddess and God. We now learn that these Goddess-worshipping tribes practiced gender equity -- women were High Priests and doctors; were free beings; were educated and could own property.

These tribes were peaceful and prosperous for their time. This changed when these peaceful villages were overrun by tribes who worshipped a male God exclusively. Under the rule of this God, women were condemned to a slavery that persisted for nearly all women until around the beginning of the 20th Century. Women were the property of their father, given by him to their husband to do with as he wished. They could not own property, were not considered to be educable or even to have human abilities -- all because men believed that God's word declared that woman caused the fall of man in the Garden of Eden.

This belief was enforced throughout the centuries by Paul's gospel, witch hunts, cultural and societal mandates as well as the meting out of harsh punishment if a woman stepped out of her male-god-established role. Throughout those thousands of years, most men were free to develop while women's development was suffocated.

This century has seen a massive change in the lives of women, who have so far, been given fewer than 100 years to catch up to a system that men had thousands of years to grow, use and interact with.

While most women were restricted to children and home, most men were bonding in government, education, law, fraternal organizations, military, sport, finance, uniform dress etc. Women led their lives vicariously through men, developing methods of placating and pleasing men -- and many still carry the results of that programming of thousands of years.

Some of the fiercest defenders of gender inequity are women -- women who will not or cannot seek the counsel of the Goddess within.

Whoopi Goldberg, who most would consider a liberated woman, made the following statement in a TV interview: "Black people are the only people who came to this country and were not allowed to vote."

Whoops, Whoopi - women of any skin color are people too. We have been coming to this country since the 17th Century and weren't allowed to vote either -- not until early in the 1920's (excepting a couple of state elections.)

And all our foremothers before them, before us, lie in their sacrificial graves unsung and unremembered.

EVIL ROOTS, POSION PLANTS

Right at the very beginning of recorded and spoken history, a cast system based on gender was propagated and enforced that exists to this day. It is evidenced today by the vitriolic manner of the victorious over the vanquished.

While the Democratic leadership is singing Kum-bay-yah and urging unity, the blogistani have continued their attempt to wipe any and all opposition to their candidate off the Net. Women’s blogs are a target and our right to dissent is the first victim of the yeswecanshutyouup,bitch! New BOrder.

Blogs that do not conform to the New Democratic Party are being flooded with so much nasty garbage that the administrators are forced to shut down or spend all their time sifting through for intelligent discussion comments to publish.

Anglachel’s Journal reports: “I know a number of pro-Hillary bloggers have been targeted for shut down by reporting them as spam sites.” Gendergappers is under such an attack right now.

"NO!! 911!"

Is this another one of those male bashing lists?

No. We do realize, however that there are those of both genders who consider anything less than adoration to be male bashing. We will speak of men in context; after all, women do not live on this planet alone.

Our purpose is to convey ideas that may cause you to think, using YOUR OWN experience and intelligence -- not that of your parents, associates, teachers or political and spiritual leaders. We don't ask that you agree or disagree. We only ask you to think for yourself. The increase in the gender gap vote in recent elections indicates that more and more women are doing just that. Yah!

This list, huge as it is becoming, will be kept private with no merchandise sale pitches. We are not trying to sell a book so we will not misrepresent the women's movement as "finally ended and all is just great," as does the recent spate of so-called feminists authors who are supported and financed by religious/political organizations.

Nor do we subscribe to their insistence that women who call attention to inequities are just the "feminazi" troublemakers who hate men and want to stir up trouble between the genders.

The latest books of this genre are insisting that women are now paid equally to men and if they aren't it is because those women seek the kind of job that pays less. Huh? Duh! Please show us a woman that seeks a low paying, labor intensive job.

The Self-Defined Woman. Who is she?

We see womenkind as arranged along a continuum. At one end is a woman who completely accepts man's definition of woman. At the other end is a woman who completely accepts her own definition of herself. Two well known women that we believe come close to this end of the continuum are Janet Reno and Madeleine Allbright. You may think of others.

A continuum is not a scale from bottom to top or 1 to 10. Your place on a continuum cannot be determined for you. This you must do for yourself as well as evaluate it. How you express yourself tells others where you have placed yourself. It is, as stated, a continuum, and we may be at different places on it throughout our lives. Men have defined woman as child, daughter, wife, mother, sister etc. In other words, as HIS family members, HIS possessions, while defining himself by his work, his values, his institutions and his accomplishments.

More and more women, especially during this last century, are defining themselves. They are doctors, secretaries, engineers, home-makers and home builders etc., as well as, but not necessarily only, wife, mother, etc.

Much has been written about men and women having a different language. Certainly there is a difference in perception and we will explore that in more detail, but for now, please consider this:

You may have seen a TV show called, "Designing Women." One episode showed the women training to assertively declare and protect themselves against rape. If they were accosted, they were told to first yell, "NO!!! 911." This seemed strange to us as many, too many men do not hear or just ignore NO when a WOMAN says it. ...And "911" ??? Ask Nicole Brown Simpson how effective that was.

Why are we still raising our sons to rape and batter the daughters of other women?
